About

The Marrakech Museum, housed in the Dar Menebhi Palace, is a captivating cultural institution in the heart of Marrakech's historic medina. Built at the end of the 19th century, the palace is a splendid example of Andalusian architecture, boasting intricate details and a harmonious blend of Moroccan and European styles.

Once the residence of Mehdi Mnebhi, the palace underwent a meticulous restoration and reopened as a museum in 1997. Today, it showcases a diverse collection of traditional and contemporary Moroccan art, including ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and weaponry.

Visitors can explore the palace's elegant rooms, adorned with colorful mosaics and carved stucco. The museum's collection offers a glimpse into the rich artistic traditions of Morocco, while temporary exhibitions highlight contemporary artists and themes.

The Marrakech Museum is not only a repository of art and history but also a vibrant cultural center that hosts concerts, lectures, and workshops. Its peaceful courtyard provides a tranquil escape from the bustling medina.
